I had a great time participating in the WeScrap.com Wicked Halloween Crop this weekend.  There were games, make & takes, and lots of great challenges.  I didn’t get as much scrapping done as I had hoped because of some errands but I did get a few things made.  I got 3 cards made, using black as the background and using the same patterned paper on each one.  The paper I used was from Fancy Pants Designs.

I also participated in the Halloween Treat Container Make & Take.  These are the cutest little containers.  They are like a medium-sized french fry container.  I liked my first container so much I made a second container to take to friend.  I filled her container with a Halloween card and some yummy chocolate treats!!

I was honored to have my Halloween Candle Trio published in the October/November issue of Paper Trends Magazine.  Paper Trends Magazine is eye candy at its finest. The beautiful glossy photos are sharp and provide close-up views of the projects so you can see all the details. Besides the supply lists; you get instructions, tips, and ideas for modifications with each project.

My Halloween Candle Trio is one of my favorite Halloween home decor projects and it started me altering candles and candle holders for every occasion.  Besides decor for your home, altered candles make great gifts.  Check out my candles below.

If you’ve altered some candles of your own leave a comment here with a link to the photo.  I’d love see what you’ve created.

Wow! I made the next cut for ‘Dream You’re A ScrapStar’ at Scrapbook Dreamer and I’m moving onto round 4.  There’s only 2 more rounds left and the competition is intense.  So many great ideas and designs.  Here’s my layout from round 3.  This is my favorite layout so far.  The items I used were: grungeboard, Kaiser Craft paper, staples, black background cardstock, and hand doodling.  We also had to use a non-scrapbook item.  The item I used was a piece of cardboard box that I tore apart.

I doodled the white scallops around the circle of Kaiser Craft paper and inked the chipboard letters, grungeboard, and piece of cardboard box with fluid chalk.  I love the look of the grungeboard here.

This is my hubby, our best friends, and I crammed inside a photo booth at an arcade. I have a fondness for photo booths so everyone piled in so I could get some photos.

Tomorrow I’ll work on round 4 entry. I have some ideas in mind and can’t wait to get going on my project.  Wish me luck in this next round.
