The Holidays are here and finding the perfect gift can be a challenge.  This year why not give a piece of yourself?  Making gifts for the Holidays makes them one-of-a-kind and adds a personal touch you don’t get with a store bought item.  When you make a gift you are giving more than just a gift, you are giving a part of yourself.

Now you might be wondering what you can make that will be used and appreciated.  The answer is simple…a calendar makes a wonderful gift.  Here’s a gift that is used all year long and seen everyday and is extra special when it’s personalized for the receiver.  A homemade calendar lets you share photos of loved ones and pictures of special events and places.  You can further personalize the calendar by notating special days like birthdays and anniversaries in addition to the standard holidays.   Continued at A Cherry On Top.

Which Twilight Character are you??  I’m a Bella…

You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please.  You are unaware of your attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company.  You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.

My Twilight Fever is rising!! I got 2 free passes to see the screening of Twilight in Portland on Tuesday, November 18th.  I entered Willamette Week’s Fan Fiction Contest.  You had to submit your steamiest Twilight inspired fan fiction to win a VIP prize pack.  They will post the favorite fan fiction entry on wweek.com and a part of it will be read at the screening.  What’s cool is I got an email saying my passes to the screening were in the mail.  I didn’t even know I would have a chance to get passes.  Even if I’m not the winner of the fan fiction, I’m bouncing off the walls with excitement about the screening.  Seeing Twilight twice next week will be awesome.  The 2nd time, Friday at midnight will be way cool!!  More on that later 😉
