Have you been bitten by the Twilight books?  I have!  The story is truly captivating.  I anxious for the movie release and the soundtrack.  I love Perry Farrell’s song, “Go All The Way (into the Twilight).” Check out the exclusive unveil at Stephenie Meyer’s site.  While I’ve been awaiting the arrival of the Twilight movie I’ve been reading The Host.  This is another awesome book by Stephenie Meyer.  It’s a great science fiction book and a real page turner just like her Twilight Series.  Be warned, once you’ve been bitten, there’s no going back.

Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits

Alisa Bangerter

This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.

INGREDIENTS

2 c. flour

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

4 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. salt

2/3 c. butter or margarine

1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

1 1/4 c. milk

Chives (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.

Don’t these biscuits look delicious!! Can’t wait to try this recipe out.

Have a great Tuesday!!

I had a great time participating in the WeScrap.com Wicked Halloween Crop this weekend.  There were games, make & takes, and lots of great challenges.  I didn’t get as much scrapping done as I had hoped because of some errands but I did get a few things made.  I got 3 cards made, using black as the background and using the same patterned paper on each one.  The paper I used was from Fancy Pants Designs.

I also participated in the Halloween Treat Container Make & Take.  These are the cutest little containers.  They are like a medium-sized french fry container.  I liked my first container so much I made a second container to take to friend.  I filled her container with a Halloween card and some yummy chocolate treats!!

I was honored to have my Halloween Candle Trio published in the October/November issue of Paper Trends Magazine.  Paper Trends Magazine is eye candy at its finest. The beautiful glossy photos are sharp and provide close-up views of the projects so you can see all the details. Besides the supply lists; you get instructions, tips, and ideas for modifications with each project.

My Halloween Candle Trio is one of my favorite Halloween home decor projects and it started me altering candles and candle holders for every occasion.  Besides decor for your home, altered candles make great gifts.  Check out my candles below.

If you’ve altered some candles of your own leave a comment here with a link to the photo.  I’d love see what you’ve created.

I’m so honored; I made it to the final round of ‘Dream You’re A ScrapStar’ at Scrapbook Dreamer.  Our final layout was due this morning.  Journaling was a big component in this round and it took me awhile to get the story I had in my head out and onto paper.  I am happy with the results.  Once again our DreamWeaver designed an awesome challenge.  I’ll post my final layout in a couple days.  The winner of ‘Dream You’re A ScrapStar’  should be announced on Monday, October 20th.  All the final layouts are fantastic; I don’t envy the Design Team’s job of choosing a winner.

I wanted to share my round 4 creation with you now.  I just love how this turned out.  It was so much fun creating on an acrylic background.  The items I used were: acrylic / transparent background, thickers, rhinestones, scallops, and distressing.  We also had to use the following quote on our design: ‘You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.’
C.S. Lewis.
As you can see the quote was the inspiration for my design.
